Farewell to Ted
Earlier this month, our good friend Ted Aldewereld said goodbye to us after a long struggle with cancer. Ted was involved in founding 3D-Studio from the very beginning. In doing so, he always managed to inspire us with new ideas. During most sessions, he was present to lend a helping hand. Consequently, he was scanned several times. To keep our memory of Ted alive, you will find some of these figurines in this newsletter. They will be permanently available on our website alongside the many travellers and seated figures under the name ‘Ted’.
New figures
Once again, we present some new figures including some deployable as railway staff. Some of these figures are universally deployable but most are specific per railway company. We also present two new series with five figures each, offered at a 20% discount.
An overview of the new figures can also be found on the homepage of our website and in our webshop. You can also take a closer look at these figures on our website. We provide an overview below.
Scale 0: 1:43.5 or 1:45
To meet the demand of our customers, we now offer our seated figures in both 1:43.5 and 1:45 scale. This is especially important when you want to place the figure as a passenger in carriages or as a train driver.
In addition, the possibility always remains to print all figures in a customised scale. A customised scale can easily be requested via the contact form on our website.
Painting of figures
One of our most experienced painter of miniature figures is Manfred Kohnz of the company MAKO MODELLBAU. We hereby show some of his realisations. If you are interested, you can buy your figures from us and then contact him directly for further arrangements.
